Kenwood amd the Appalaichain Trail Golden Packet

Over the years, Kenwood shipped a wide variety of handheld and mobile radios with feature rich APRS support.

The vast majority of locations along the Appalachian Trail are distanced apart far enough that a 5W handheld doesn't offer enough power to reach adjacent sites.

That said, there's at least one (possibly two) sites in the Northeast where Kenwood handhelds have been used for the event.
