Dan joined us on Mont Saint Joseph which is along the Canadian portion of the Appalachian Trail.

We received word of Dan's passing from his wife by way of Malcolm (VE2DDZ):

Dan passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon. He will be cremated and a private graveside ceremony will be held at some point in the future. I am heartbroken to lose Dan, but I have many memories from our 31 years together. I know that amateur radio was a source of great pleasure for Dan, for the technical challenges and the friendships, discussions and laughter along the way. I'm happy that he found you guys.
